US Digital Media Donates Minimum $25,000 to Susan G. Komen® with Sale of Mobile Accessories

There is an inspiring story behind the establishment of Susan G. Komen®. It was established by Nancy G. Brinker in 1982, after she made a promise to her dying sister, Susan G. Komen, that she would do all that she can to put an end to breast cancer. Today, Komen has become one of the boldest communities for global breast cancer movement.

One of the popular events of the foundation is the Komen Race for the Cure. Through the said race and other fund-raising events, the foundation was able to raise $2 billion which it has invested in various activities which aim to fight breast cancer. Komen actively supports breast cancer research, community health outreach, advocacy and other programs which aim to fight breast cancer in the United States as well as in over 50 countries.

Komen likewise boasts of its contribution to several victories related to its fight against breast cancer. It was able to successfully campaign for the early detection and effective treatment for breast cancer, which is responsible for the 33% decline of breast cancer mortality in the US. As of today, almost 70% of women who are 40 years old and above receive regular mammogram, which is considered as the most effective tool for breast cancer detection.

Over the years, the organizaion has helped millions of breast cancer patients become cancer survivors. At present, there are almost 3 million breast cancer survivors in the US alone. The Komen Foundation aims to help more breast cancer patients and hopefully, to wipe out breast cancer in the world. In achieving its goals, the foundation has launched various fund-raising campaign and events to support its cause. At the same time, there will be a minimum guarantee donation of $25,000.
